Why first eons should be vested in the hostels

Some students still live with their family, where their mothers take care of their everyday lives.  Others may live at off campus to enjoy new freedom. However, I believe that it is a good idea for all university students to live in hostels in campus in the first years. In a hostel, they can make new friends more easily, they can learn to become independent and they can spend more time on study.

Firstly, living in a hostel on campus would enable freshers to make new friends more easily. Soon after entering university, many freshers may feel anxious about their new university lives. To find new good friends would be one of the best ways to adapt to life in a new environment. Living in dormitory would give them many chances to meet new people and make new friends.

Secondly, living in a hostel on campus would enable freshers to learn to become independent. In a hostel, without their family's help, they have to wake up by themselves, do the laundry for themselves and take care of their own food and health. Living in a hostel gives students a good preliminary training to stand on their own feet in the future.

Finally, living in a hostel on campus would enable freshers to spend more time on studies. At university, students tend to have very heavy workloads and have to spend a lot of time on their studies. At times, many freshers may feel some difficulty to manage their time for studying. Living in a hostel on campus would be more convenient for study as they do not need to waste time commuting. There is a library on campus. If there are some questions, they can easily ask lecturers on campus or other friends in the hostel.

In conclusion, it is my opinion that for reasons of making friends, learning independence and spending more time on study, living in a hostel on campus would be better for all university students in the first year. I believed that it would help freshers to start new challenging university lives.
