INTERTRIBAL DATING

Two people of different tribes who originate from the same geographical location can share more than can two people of the same tribe who originate from different locations. This can be seen when we talk about a personality. We can always interpret and even make a prognosis of the values of the person basing on the analysis of the surroundings. No matter what part of a country a person lives in and no matter what tribe he is – he will still be the reflection of the geographical area his lives in and carry the values that are widespread in this area. It is common knowledge that the key factor of the development of personality is socialization and the place of socialization plays a vital part too. Socialization in also very important in intertribal dating and of course the geographical location predestines the set of qualities which one will look in a partner along with the stereotypes concerning this or the tribe.

The way people of different tribes interact with one another is truly affected by Geographical location. One of the brightest example is Luos and Borana. A young Borana woman from the North Eastern of the country Kenya and a young man from Nyanza will have a lot of difficulties getting along together, due to the climatic conditions in North Eastern and the savvier terror attacks. In North Eastern, most parts is not barer able for the well doing of crops due to the climate there .Also the cultural differences. For instance if two young people come out from the same geographical location which is a multi-cultural area they are less likely to have any kind of problems dating each other. People identify themselves with their environment and two people coming from the same geographical location who are dating each other will have at least the same concept of a relationship, which is set in their area.

If an intertribal couple has a different geographical location it raises the possibility that each of them lives in a one-tribe community making it even harder for them to communicate within their communities: they potentially have different interests and feel uneasy coming to visit each other. For example one tribe community sees a woman as a housekeeper and a mother, while the other views a woman being equal to a man. In one community is normal to greet the neighbors while the other is more isolated. It also creates the difficulty to raise a bi-tribal child in that the language the child will speak, the culture he or she will follow, and the environment he or she will cop up in. While living in one geographical location makes people closer to each other because their unity is acceptable in the first place as it is a multi-tribal community.

A couple from originating from the same geographical location can share much more than the same the home address. Intertribal dating can be brought about by different factors such as trading, like in big cities, work places, universities like in Moi University, and many more. This also creates unity and some people learn other cultures from different tribes as they interact with each other. This creates unity among people of different tribes hence making tribal dating easy and without any problems. Basically saying a couple originating from the same geographical location has the same “community anthem”: they went to similar school, had the same interests popular in the area, and had the same inter-tribal and inter-gender examples. It honestly does make the couple feel more comfortable and gives a lot to share with each other, including the same intertribal values. If you wish to have good relationship with your partner from different tribe, learn their culture and values.
